Alongside the enchanted - and hilarious - Everyman pantomime, we also offer our Everyman Panto Talks and Workshops, bringing the sparkle and joy of the theatre straight to your school or uniformed group. Our talks are designed to help your young people prepare for your upcoming trip to the theatre as well as build further learning around the experience.

What is an Everyman Pantomime Talk?

The Everyman Panto Talks are a fun and educational winter activity enjoyed by children of all ages and can particularly benefit young children who are visiting the theatre for the first time.

An Everyman theatre practitioner will come to your school and talk to the children about what to expect when they visit the theatre, teach them about the characters in Cinderella, play acting games that support the curriculum, and recreate your own Cinderella Pantomime.

Our panto talks are designed to cover communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and expressive arts and design areas of the curriculum.

This year introducing Everyman Panto Workshops!

Instead of a Panto Talk, a Panto Workshop is an hour-long hands-on and practical workshop, designed for smaller groups (maximum 30 children) who are ready to get up and go.

Starting with theatre games using sound and movement, the children will build confidence with oracy and move on to group work exploring character archetypes and setting. Together they will look at some dialogue and everyone will become part of their own Cinderella story with costumes, props and music.

Should I book a Panto Talk or a Panto Workshop?

Panto Talks are interactive talks for groups in an assembly-style setting (from small groups to full school assemblies).

This is an hour-long talk, at a cost of £60 - this price is subsidised by the theatre as part of our Community and Education outreach programme.

Panto Workshops are hands-on and full of group activities (maximum 30 children with accompanying adult).

This is an hour-long workshop, at a cost of £100 - this price is subsidised by the theatre as part of our Community and Education outreach programme.

Both Panto Talks and Panto Workshops can also be a starting point for further literacy and drama activities in the classroom or group setting. We will also provide you with a copy of our Everyman Education Pack, which contains even more ways to engage with speaking, listening, reading and writing activities.
