Community Arts

The Everyman Theatre offers a wide range of professionally delivered workshops, projects and courses in education, communities and in the theatre building itself. Our outreach work is designed to engage with individuals and organisations throughout Gloucestershire and beyond.

We hosts a variety of community groups where people can come together to learn new skills, perform as a group or just have a chat.

Being part of a knitting group is wonderful for wellbeing and companionship. The Everyman Theatre’s knitting group are a very friendly bunch and everyone is welcome. You can bring your own knitting or knit for various projects in the theatre.

Come along and join the fun! We meet every Friday morning from 10.30am in the Circle Bar at the Everyman which is on the first floor of the theatre, accessible by lift. There is no cost and no commitment is necessary.

If you're interested in taking part or finding out how you can support any of our groups contact caro.day@everymantheatre.org.uk

The theatre also works alongside other charities and non-profit organisations to expand our work and offer safe spaces for underserved communities facing barriers.

From the start of the project to the end of the project, the samba team were friendly and respectful of school life. They were naturally inclusive of our children who sometimes struggle with music, noise and change to routine, accepting all of our pupils no matter how skilful or nervous they were. Thank you for the opportunity.

The group is a wealth of knowledge. There are many friendly faces welcoming you no matter what your skill level. I never thought you could knit so many marvellous things for others who have little. When I arrive, the volume level is massive as everyone is conversing. Love it, thank you.

We loved partnering with the the Everyman on the Acting Up project. It gave young people a great opportunity to engage in a quality activity they wouldn't usually get to do. It was fantastic to see how the project connected with those who could become disengaged from mainstream education. The cooperation demonstrated by young people at the end of the project was very impressive Thanks so much!

Thank you for the brilliant workshop! The Swiss students really enjoyed the activities with you. They were all so engaged and achieved so much in such a short space of time. I hope we can work with you again in the future - our sincerest thanks.
