RELAXED PERFORMANCES
Relaxed performances are open to everyone, but the environment has been specifically adapted for individuals who would benefit from a more relaxed atmosphere.
These performances are adapted in a variety of ways in order to reduce anxiety and ensure a safe and enjoyable live theatre experience for all – without losing any of the magic!
The lights in the auditorium remain on low throughout the show, the lights on stage are dimmer and slower, sudden loud noises are softened and audience members are free to leave and re-enter the auditorium at any point.
There is a Chill-Out room, where a space is made available for audience members who need a bit of time-out before and during the performance.
All the relaxed performances are sold to half capacity ensuring a feeling of space and comfort for all.
For the main house relaxed performances, we have a television screen in the Circle Bar chill-out space which shows the performance live, so you don’t have to miss any of the story if you need some time-out. We also offer a mobile accessible toilet with adult-sized changing bench, hoist and a friendly attendant.
These performances offer a relaxed attitude to audience movement and noise – and a supportive atmosphere for all.
