Actors' Workshop

Actors' Workshop

Designed to provide training schemes and workshops for professional performers, it’s also an opportunity to network with fellow actors, directors, casting directors and agents.  Sessions are generally held in the Everyman’s Studio Theatre, but occasionally at other professional venues.

SELF-TAPE WORKSHOP FOR STAGE AND SCREEN with Jack James Ryan Monday 12th Feb at 6.30pm.

Jack James Ryan has worked extensively in television and theatre and is most recognised for his work as 'Jacob Hay' in Coronation Street. Jack is soon to be appearing in new, ITV flagship drama Passenger where he plays supporting lead 'John Trowbridge'. Notable stage credits include Afterlife (National Theatre) and Sing Yer Heart Out For the Lads (Chichester/National Theatre).

Jack will give you all the tools required to make your own self-tape. His workshop will look into all the technical aspects of self-taping, and then there will be an opportunity to get up on your feet and look at how to act for screen. He will bring some scripts with him on the day for you to work with so nothing to prepare, but please bring a notebook and pen.
