Troublehouse collective were formed by the composer and performer Chris Cundy in 2019 combining musicians who share an interest in orchestral playing and improvisation. Their performances explore a sonorous texture that ranges from refined acoustics to noise (and sometimes incorporating electronic elements). In 2021 they featured on the soundtrack for Archaeology of the Ear, a series of radio documentaries presented on Resonance FM exploring historic objects through sound and narrative. Chris Cundy’s musical activities migrate between pop music, music for theatre and experimental composition. He has toured internationally as a solo artist and in bands for Devon Sproule, Thor & Friends, Cold Specks, Timber Timbre, and Guillemots. “Swirling around the songs was bass clarinet player Chris Cundy, like a birdsong interrupting an argument” - LOS ANGELES TIMES
