The Trouble with Jessica - part of the Cheltenham International Film Festival
This screening forms part of Cheltenham International Film Festival, which marks its 5th anniversary in 2023. The festival will screen new films from around the world, plus film classics and is adding television, and new live events to its programme, along with guest celebrities.
A great British cast choke on their food in this dinner party from hell comedy.
Middle class couple Sarah (Shirley Henderson) and Tom (Alan Tudyk) are celebrating as they are just about to sell their home. The sale will resolve the financial difficulties they have had in recent years. They invite their best friends Richard (Rufus Sewell) and Beth (Olivia Williams) over for a dinner party. However, the evening gets off to a difficult start when the friends bring outspoken novelist Jessica (Indira Varma) with them. Things get catastrophic when Jessica is found dead in the garden later in the evening.
A very funny black comedy that recalls the classic Hitchcock feature The Trouble With Harry.
Director Matt Winn and the Producer Sarah Sulick will join us for the screening.
