The Chris Treglown Awards

This Event Takes Place @ Chapel Arts, Cheltenham (Chapel Arts, Knapp Road (Near St. James Square), Cheltenham. GL50 3QQ)

This exciting award was set up nine years ago in memory of the late Christopher Treglown. Christopher was a very promising young baritone and his parents decided to set up the award to help young singers who are pursuing a career in either opera or musical theatre. The first prize is £1000 and the chance to perform in Concert in several venues in Cornwall.

In the past nine years we have had some amazing young singers who have won this prestigious prize, many who have gone on to achieve their aspirations of following a career in performing.

This year we have ten young singers who will be performing in concert to a panel of experts.

Our judges include Stephannie Williams who has been an agent for over fifty years and ran Music Festivals At Sea for thirty years. The opera and music critic Christopher Morley and the international soprano Rebecca Caine (original Cossette in Les Miserables).

This is an evening not to be missed.
