Performed by the Everyman Theatre's professionaly company, Mrs Lowry and Son tells the story of one of the 20th century's most popular artists.

L.S. Lowry lived for many years in Salford with his bedridden mother, working as a rent collector by day and painting in his attic by night.

Martyn Hesford's play - which was also made into a film starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave - tells the story of the moving, humorous and absorbing relationship between Lowry and his beloved mother.
