Kim Cypher - Great Music, Good Times
This Event Takes Place @ Chapel Arts, Cheltenham (Chapel Arts, Knapp Road (Near St. James Square), Cheltenham. GL50 3QQ)
Following the huge success of two sell-out shows at Chapel Arts last year raising money for Maggie’s Centre in Cheltenham, Kim Cypher and her band of top UK musicians will be welcomed back with open arms on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 for a wonderful evening of ‘Great Music and Good Times’.
Kim Cypher is one of the UK's most exciting and much-loved performers. Creating quite a stir on the UK jazz scene as a multi-talented saxophonist, vocalist and composer, fresh from a sell-out debut at world-renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Kim has firmly secured a reputation for top quality, stylish, accessible jazz with performances full of positive, vibrant energy, great humour, enthusiasm and wonderful musicianship.
This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great selection of Jazz, Latin, Swing and funky grooves, performed in the very best company.
Joining Kim will be Cheltenham favourite, Alex Steele on piano. Alex is a pianist of extraordinary ability who will set the room on fire with his piano wizardry and colourful socks! Mike Green on bass brings a wealth of experience and will alternate between upright and electric bass, laying down the perfect groove for every tune. Locking everything in will be Kim’s husband Mike Cypher on drums. Full of humorous banter and driving everything along, Mike has performed with some of the country’s jazz greats and is always wearing the cheekiest smile.
“A bright, passionate performing light on the UK Jazz scene.”
