TUESDAY By Allison Carr
Presented by EVERYMAN YOUTH THEATRE
It’s a regular Tuesday morning; suddenly a tear rips across the sky, sucking up pupils and staff from a local school. Everything is about to change, but will it change for the better?
Tuesday is light, playful and nuanced in tone. And a little bit sci-fi.
Directed by Ashley Elbourne (INFLUENCE, Royal & Derngate) this touching play promises to give you an insight into the multiverse. You may also even learn a bit about yourselves too.
Wind/Rush Generation(s) by Mojisola Adebayo
Presented by STAGEDOOR LEARNING First Year Students
This is a play about the British Isles, its past and its present. Set in a university common room, a group of students are troubled, not by their workload, but by a “noisy ghost”. Their investigations lead them down an unexpected path, forcing them to confront Britain’s colonial past, in all its gory glory.
If you think you know about Britain’s history - Empire, slavery, economics, racism and humanity, then this play might make you think again, as its characters are catapulted through space and time, witnessing the injustices, incongruities and inhumanity of the past.
