Cheltenham International Film Festival - The Shining

On 31st October, Halloween night, wehave  a special screening of the cinema classic The Shining starring Jack Nicholson and directed by Stanley Kubrick from the Stephen King novel. A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter, where a sinister presence influences the father into violence. At the same time, his psychic son sees horrifying forebodings from both the past and the future.

Often referred to as one of the best horror films of all time, an expert on the film, Paula Benson, of Film & Furniture, will provide a brief  introduction to the film on the night with a focus on the location, film sets and design.
