Bursting with music, singing, dancing and joyful energy, Coin Toss Collective invites you to a bingo night like no other – ‘A Gurt Time Was Had by All’.
Coin Toss was formed through Bristol Old Vic Theatre’s ‘Made in Bristol’ scheme –a year-long theatre-making course for a selected group of 18-25-year-olds. ‘Gurt Time’ was the first piece we made together, and it began as a tea party between us and the tenants of Brunelcare in Fishponds, Bristol, in which they talked about what a great night out was for them when they were our age.
We then transformed these moments and memories into theatrical performances each assigned to a bingo ball, so you’ll be watching a show that’s live, loud and entirely dependent on chance… We first performed ‘Gurt Time’ to Brunelcare in December 2021, and we now want to share their stories with you! Come relax, play along, and enjoy the show – but also make sure lady luck is on your side as there are prizes to be won!
