A baboon, a pair of lions and a couple of meerkats chatting. The Garden of Eden entirely in palindromes. Some musings on the unlikely ‘pre-loved’ items genuinely on offer to the socially conscious bargain-hunters of Freegle (‘Giant cuddly carrot’, anyone?). And a harassed teacher juggling home life with attempts to teach a bunch of distracted teenagers on Zoom. So, yes, you’ve got it - four entirely unrelated short pieces vainly in search of a theme. Except they’re all pretty funny. Sixty minutes of slightly off-the-wall jollity for animal lovers, wordsmiths, something-for-nothing types and those who think they know about teaching (‘Well, we’ve all been to school, haven’t we, love?). Topped off with just a dash of seriousness. Laid before the discerning audience by The Cotswold Players and writers Rhona Smith and Festival regular Philip Douch. What’s not to like? It’s only an hour of your life after all.
