Not Going Gentle

Not Going Gentle

Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night…” - Dylan Thomas

You can get older gracefully,
You can get older disgracefully,
with a smile or with a scowl,
but whatever you do
don’t grow old!

Not Going Gentle is a concert performance of prose, poetry and song, portraying the most exciting part of life - from the time the children leave home to the final curtain.
From Shakespeare to Sian Murray’s new short play, Slippers, via Pauline Prior-Pitt, Laurie Lee, Dillie Keane, and a host of others.

the evening runs the gamut of emotions – from M to Z …

The regular performers are Gabrielle Drake, Sian Murray, Colin Prockter with Steve Dunachie on the piano. None of whom have any intention of going gentle into that good night

…from selling the cradle on e-bay to the grave.

The appeal of Not Going Gentle is universal (8-year old Dulcie loved it), but the show is perhaps most appealing to ‘the grey vote’ (that’s us, too!)

Getting older is no problem. You just have to live long enough.” - Groucho Marx
