Presented by Cheltenham Operatic & Dramatic Society

A charming, optimistic and toe-tapping family favourite.

Abandoned by her parents at birth, ten year old Annie escapes the clutches of embittered orphanage leader, 'Miss Hannigan' to trace their whereabouts and reunite her little family. Outside the orphanage, she encounters the highs and lows of 1930s New York - a city which promises the American Dream but suffers amidst the slump of depression. However, Annie is sparky and determined at every corner and enlists support from secretary, Grace Farrell; her billionaire employer, Oliver Warbucks; and his friend, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt; not to mention her loveable new canine companion, Sandy.

Cheltenham Operatic and Dramatic Society return to the Everyman for their 127th year following recent successes with Legally Blonde and Sister Act to produce this family favourite. Featuring well-known numbers such as Hard Knock Life, Tomorrow and Maybe, as well as showstoppers from the stage production – the dazzling NYC and the gritty Hooverville, it ensures the audience leave humming along and feeling as if they too are Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.
