A Mouthful Of Birds

A Mouthful Of Birds

Inspired by Euripides’ The Bacchae, and composed of seven separate episodic stories, this haunting exploration of alienation and social paranoia is one of the UK theatre’s acclaimed “ultimate” playwright’s most provocative works (The Stage, 2018).

From post-natal psychosis to alcoholism and schizophrenia, Churchill presents a stark yet ultimately transformative meditation on the nature of madness, possession and the violent politics of contemporary life.

Performed by students from the University of Gloucestershire

Not suitable for children.
