The Everyman main auditorium is a fully functioning professional theatre.

Technical Spec Plan

The theatre was designed by Frank Matcham, the great Victorian theatre architect, and opened in 1891. Since then much of the building has been extensively re-built but the auditorium remains largely in its original format - although now only seats 682 rather than the 1,500 it was reported to accommodate when it opened!

Technical Spec Plan

The Everyman is also home to The Studio Theatre - an intimate space seating up to a maximum of 60 in a flexible format.

For those thinking of touring a show to the Everyman or interested in our facilities, here are two downloadable Word documents that provide the basic technical specifications and also plans of the two stages.
